FROM NEW YORK CITY
Saw
Mill Parkway to the Taconic Parkway (about 20 miles). Taconic to the
“Millwood/Briarcliff Manor, Rte. 133, Rte. 100”
exit (about 5 miles north of where the Taconic and the Saw Mill meet).
At bottom of exit ramp, turn left and left again at traffic light onto
Rte. 133 West (it is also Rte. 100). Go 3/10 mile to light. Bear right
at light up hill (still Rte. 133) for 7/10 of a mile to Barnes Road
(the third left). Turn left on Barnes Road for 3/10 mile to two large
stone pillars on left with “Bailey Farms” sign.
(Total time= 45 minutes).

FROM SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT OR SOUTHERN
WESTCHESTER
Rte 287 West to Exit 3 (Sprain Brook Pkwy). North
on the Sprain Brook which becomes the Taconic. Take Millwood Exit
(approximately 15 minutes north of 287).

NORTHEAST
Rte 684 South to Katonah, exit 6. Go West on Rte
35 for 2 miles. Take left onto Rte 100 South for 8 miles. At Millwood
town center there will be a traffic light with a shopping center on the
left and a small church on the right. Continue straight thru traffic
light staying on Rt 100. Go under the Taconic overpass and at the
traffic light bear right onto Rte 133. Go 7/10 mile to Barnes Rd. (see
above).

Taconic south to Millwood Rte 100/133 Exit. At
light go straight onto Rte.133 for 7/10 mile to Barnes Rd. (see above).

NJ Turnpike to Garden State to 287 East -Tappan Zee
Bridge to Saw Mill Pkwy North (exit 8) to Taconic (see above). OR NJ
Turnpike to G. Washington Bridge to Henry Hudson North to Saw Mill Pkwy
North to Taconic (see above).

FROM
AIRPORT
From JFK or LaGuardia, take Whitestone Bridge to
Hutchinson Pkwy to Cross County Pkwy to Sprain Brook Pkwy North which
becomes Taconic Pkwy. Follow directions above from Taconic. (Total time
= 1 hour). From Newark Airport, take NJ Turnpike to George Washington
Bridge to Henry Hudson North to Saw Mill Pkwy North to Taconic (see
directions from Taconic). OR: take NJ Turnpike to Garden State Pkwy to
287 East - Tappan Zee Bridge to Saw Mill Pkwy North (exit 8) to Taconic
North. There is a Westchester airport, but planes are less frequent and
more expensive. A taxi from the airport to the farm should take 25
minutes. (Take 684 South to Rte. 287 West. Get off at exit 3 - Sprain
Brook Pkwy North. Sprain Brook North becomes Taconic (see directions
from Taconic).

TRAIN

Take Metro North train at Grand Central to
Ossining, NY (3 miles from Bailey Farms). The train is one hour (the
express about 50 minutes). Trains run frequently (at least every hour).

area cab companies are:

PLEASE
NOTE
The only access to the platform at Ossining train
station is by stairs. Croton Harmon station (1 stop north of the
Ossining station) has full handicap access. See next paragraph for
directions to Bailey Farms from the Croton Harmon station. For those
traveling by train from North of the Farm, you can take Metro North
south to Ossining. Amtrak stops at Croton Harmon and then either take a
cab (take Rte 9A South and exit at Rte 133 going right 1 mile to Barnes
Rd.) or get the local train (if available) one stop to Ossining and get
a cab (see above).

TAXIS
FROM JFK AND LA GUARDIA
The ride should take about one hour (you may need
to give the driver directions) Newark airport would be prohibitive by
Taxi. Other choices include going to the city and then taking the train
(see above). There are bus/limos/taxis from all airports to Grand
Central Station. This route is fairly simple and inexpensive, but would
likely take 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. with connections.
